Today, the Supreme Court of Nigeria delivered judgment in the appeal emanating from the judgment of the Court of Appeal in respect of the tenure of the five governors namely Adamawa, Bayelsa, Cross River, Sokoto and Kogi states. Imoke emerges PDP flag-bearer in C/River guber race

Senator Liyel Imoke has been elected the flag bearer of the ruling People Democratic Party in Cross River State for the April, 2012 governorship election.
His victory was announced by the chairman of the PDP electoral panel, Senator Ahmed Sana, at the U. J. Esuene stadium Calabar recently. Imoke garnered a total of 737out of 747 votes cast while his co-contender, Ambassador Sunny Abang got 3 votes. Read the rest of this entry
