Effects of Dialectical Variations on English Pronunciation

Sometimes when Joy Johnson, a trader along the Itu-Calabar-head-bridge introduces herself, her listeners are amused because of the way she pronounces “Joy” and “Johnson” they come out as “Yoi”, Yonson”,  because she cannot pronounce  letter “j” thus, juju is “yuyu” when she became conscious of her pronunciation problems, she dropped her foreign names.
