The Micro Projects Programmed in the nine Niger Delta States (MPP9) has reinstated its commitment to reduce poverty in rural communities of the Niger Delta region with the view to strengthening good governance with such communities.

Ikot Obio Odong Crowns New village Head

It was a gathering of who is who last Monday July 26th, 2010 when people from all walks of life converged in the village of Ikot Obio Odongo, Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area to witness the coronation of chief Edem Mophat Inyang as cthe village head of the community.
Among them were elders and chiefs in the area and beyond including Obong Emem Essien the mkpisong Akwa Esop Imaisong Ibibio, Obong E.E Etefia-Mkpisong Ibibio Adaha Ikono, Eteidung Nelson O.Thomas JP, Representative of Etebom Effiong Eberefiak JP who is the clan head of Oku, Uyo.
