ACN may take over Govt. soon – ACN Chapter chairman

The Chairman, Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) Etinan Chapter, Elder Gabriel Akpan has acclaimed the taking over of Government in Akwa Ibom state by the ACN from the PDP and Akpabio led administration in the first quarter of the year 2012.
Elder Akpan made the assertion at the enlarged meeting of the chapter exco, Elders, ward chairman, youth leaders and women leaders held at the party secretariat, at Etinan. The Chapter Chairman stated that the ACN was born as a child of necessity and divinely to change the lop-sided practices and evil inclination in the state and the country in general. Elder Akpan noted the commitment of members to the success, sustenance of members to the party in the Etinan chapter and in the state. He stressed that a lot of members have denounced their prestige and position in the government party to join hands and fight the common goal of change and justice. The chairman further said that the party has struggled so hard to sustain and that, the state exco has put in every effort to uphold the tenets of the party. He applauded the support of the Governorship candidate, senator J. J. Akpan Udo Edehe to ensure that the ACN succeed in the state notwithstanding the stiffed opposition by the PDP.
Elder Akpan stated that rumour about Engr. Frank Okon, Imo Udo forming government is immaterial as Senator James Akpan Udoedehe would be sworn-in as the executive Governor of the state on or before march ending. He urged members to continue to be more committed to the authorities of the party and wait patiently to eat the fattest bone. The chairman stressed that, as the 2nd judiciary journey of Senator Udoedehe petition against Gov. Akpabio commence on 10th Jan, 2012, members should find time to attend and not to rely on false information from the PDP Agents.
The chairman expressed thankfulness to God for sustaining and protecting members of the ACN from the enemies and also thanked members for their undisputed support during and after the election.
Highlights of the meeting include presentation of report from wards chairmen and other arms of the party. The meeting also witnessed in attendance councillorship aspirant which includes Mr. Udom S. Akpabio - Southern Iman ward 4, Mr. Idorenyin Ime Ekpo - Etinan Urban ward 2, others are Mr. Wisdom Ukpong, Mr. Ubong Nse Essien, Mr. Raphael James Udofia all from Urban ward 5, Etinan.
