The people of Mbiabong Ikot Udofia in Ini Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State were stunned to their marrow when the most ugly, heinous and venomous violence happened in their very noses.

Sources available to Century Newsfront has it that on Friday last week, there was a burial ceremony of a couple (husband and wife) at Mbiabong Ikot Udofia, where an irate miscreant turned his weapon of destruction against an innocent man after wining and dining. Such stories, as one could never dreamt could be heard about a group in time of crises which have been found to be true. The young man, Mr. Anietie by name the sources said, was in attendance with other people at the compound of the deceased husband and wife drinking, smoking and eating when he removed a pistol from his waist and pointed it at one Gamaliel James Esenam, and the trigger which immediately sent the later to his untimely grave. The victim came from Mbiabong Ikot Udo. This wantonness and mindless act of dare devilry had since put the inhabitants of the area on the run. The matter had been reported to the Divisional Police Station at Odoro Ikpe. Reliable sources also had it that the matter had been transferred to the Police Headquarters in Ikot Akpan Abia, Uyo, Uyo for more investigation.
