Individuals, Group, Ors Commend Police in Etinan

Group of professionals and other concerned people in the ancient City of Etinan Local Government, have risen in one voice over what they termed as abatement of crime in the area.

The group that did not want their name to be written on black and white particularly commended the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Etinan division, Mr. Friday Mkpa, the Division Crime Officer, as well as other rank and file policemen who are always combat ready for quick and prompt response to stem the tide of criminal activities, which according to them, the people now do sleep with their two eyes closed. “The phrase, ‘Police is your friend’ is really seen in Etinan because criminalities and author social vices are actually reduced to its berarest minimum and we are happy over it,” the group said.

On their part, some police officers who pleaded anonymity confirmed that what is happening in Etinan is like a magic. They attributed it to the Police Commissioner, Mr. Walter Rugbere whom they described as a very intelligent officer who knows the right button to press and the right target to hit at the right time. They maintained that the encouragement and logistic supports provided as well as the needed strength to effectively discharge their duties effectively.

The officers also poured encomiums on the DPO in charge of Etinan Division describing him as being very social, dedicated to duty, mild to all but very firm in decision and prompt in action.

They called on residents of the area to remain law abiding as the police will not tolerate any act of lawlessness, indiscipline and people taking laws into their hands irrespective of the person’s status in the society.
